100 years on homelessness

“100 years on Homelessness at GPO”

Where was this photo taken?
“O'Connell Street.”

What does this photo mean to you?
“This photo was taken outside the GPO where the Easter Rising took place.  It is one of Ireland's most famous buildings and the last of the great Georgian public buildings erected on O'Connell St.  To see homeless people lying on the streets, especially around the GPO, means Ireland hasn't moved on.  They were just served around the corner with soup/sandwiches.”

What do you like best about this photo?
“A hundred years on, there needs to be programmes put in place for drug/alcohol abuse to enable those to get housed.”
