Tom Smith-Before and After

“Before and After”

Where was this photo taken?
“Gardiner Street, Inner-City.”

What does this photo mean to you?
“I was hoping to capture the before and after.  This area was for housing units.  This one was an issue after an election and government party needed votes.  To get a clear majority the then government promised to build affordable housing.  All credit to the then councilor Tony Gregory.  Unfortunately it never went ahead which is a great shame, there was a lot of local objectors, NIMBY…not in my backyard.”

What do you like best about this photo?
“It would be fantastic to see inner city homelessness familys housed in this area.”
