Des Byrne

Des was one of our first sponsors to come onboard to the project back in 2015. We wanted someone to give photography training, guidance, and inspiration to our photographers – and as founder of the successful ‘Irish Street photography’ group Des was our first port of call. Thankfully he enthusiastically agreed to take part and has been a great asset ever since. From helping us source our first donation of disposable cameras to helping judge…

Motherland

We wanted a slick, professional video to drive awareness about the IN SIGHT project.  We approached Motherland who did just that. Ross Killeen, Owner and Director at Motherland, interviewed a number of our photographers in the Dublin Simon Community building on Capel Street in late 2015. These audio interviews set against striking and poignant day and night imagery, create a transient and uncertain ambience, reflective of the daunting experience of homelessness. Not only that but…

Thank you to Jackie, Liz and everyone in FujiFilm Ireland for the donation of 20 of disposable cameras used in the IN SIGHT project. Championed by everyone from Annie Mac to DJ Yoda, Kormac started out as out as a hip hop scratch DJ and MPC beat-maker. He has matured into an artist who brings a totally unique approach to, what might be called, hip hop by twisting and morphing his meticulous recordings of acoustic instruments into something entirely unique. We were very lucky to have Kormac come on board to create a bespoke piece of music for the IN SIGHT…
